Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist to perform radiologic exams across diagnostic X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and bone density. The role requires credentialed modalities and on-call participation, with on-site duties in a fast-paced department.

Qualified candidates will be ARRT registered, hold a JRCERT-accredited program, and maintain Florida radiographer licensure along with BLS certification. UF Health promotes equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registered and hold post primary certification in a qualifying discipline.
• Florida State License for Radiographers.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive and noninvasive radiologic procedures under supervision.
• Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory training on onboarding.
• Participate in weekend coverage and on-call schedule where applicable.
• Prepare for Joint Commission and ACR inspections and regulatory requirements.
• Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and medications as trained.
• Monitor equipment QA/QC and coordinate with Bio-Med and service engineers.
• Collect patient history and review image quality for PACS submission.

Description

The multi-modality technologist will be required to perform high quality radiologic exams with a minimum of two

qualifying/credentialed modalities to meet the specific needs of the departments. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist

is required to work routinely in all disciplines in which they are registered to perform exams. These include Diagnostic Xray, ComputedTomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone Density. The multimodalitytechnologist must participate in the on-call schedule where applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Requirement:

Technologist will be required to perform invasive and noninvasiveprocedures, utilize sterile techniques when necessary, and operate complex imaging equipment underthe direction of the Director and/or Manager.

Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory training.Staff orientation, onboarding, training and development.

Participates in weekend schedule coverage, must participatesin the on call schedule where applicable. Covers additional shifts based on the department need.

Preparation for the Joint Commission, ACR, Stericycleinspections and knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and othermedications with appropriate clinical education.

Performs all other duties assigned by management within jobspecifications.

Demonstrate knowledge of department and notifies Bio-Medand other service engineers of equipment issues. Performs

and logs QA/QC for equipment in use.

Collects and documents appropriate patient history. Reviewsimage quality and forwards timely to PACS.

• 1-3 years Multi-Disciplined Radiology Department required
• 1-3 years Knowledge of Radiographic procedures and practices required
• 1 -3 years Preferred experience in breast imaging preferred
• 1 -3 years CT scan experience - required in certain positionspreferred

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology program, (JRCERT). Must be American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered and hold post primary certification in a minimum of one additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist upon hire. Must also hold current Basic Life Support certification and Florida State License for Radiographers.
