Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Multi-Modality Technologist to perform various imaging procedures, including MRI and CT scans. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care and maintain competence in at least two modalities. The role requires BLS Certification and 1-2 years of clinical experience.

Applicants must have either a High School Diploma or an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology. This position offers the opportunity to support different modalities on a routine basis.

Qualifications

Overview

The Multi-Modality Technologist is qualified/credentialled to perform at a minimum of two (2) MRI, CT, diagnostic, US, IR, Radiation Therapy, Mammography or Nuclear Medicine procedures. This position must support the second or additional modalities on a routine basis by being available to work in the modality and must be able to provide on call coverage for these modalities as needed by the modality. Strives to provide patient centred care. Upholds the standard of practice of a registered technologist.

Qualifications

• Age of Patients Served: All age groups.
• Required Education: High School Diploma or GED with graduate of an accredited Radiology discipline.
• Preferred Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Necessary Skills:
  • Knowledge of radiographic procedures and practices.
  • Communicates exams/procedures to patients.
  • Knowledge of computer software and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Familiar with imaging equipment and all other patient care equipment.
  • Maintain competency in a minimum of two modalities.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; credentialed, certified, or licensed in a minimum of two (2) different Radiology modalities through the state, ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS.
• Required Experience: 1‑2 years of clinical radiology experience.
