Job summary

UF Health seeks a Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist to perform high-quality radiologic exams across Diagnostic X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone Density, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

The role requires 1–3 years in multi-disciplinary radiology, ARRT registration, Florida license, and BLS, with a JRCERT-accredited program graduate. CT experience is required in some positions; breast imaging is preferred. Emphasis on QA/QC and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years CT scan experience required in certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive and noninvasive procedures and operate imaging equipment under supervision.
• Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory training; staff onboarding and development.
• Participate in weekend schedule coverage and on-call shifts as needed.
• Prepare for Joint Commission, ACR, and Stericycle inspections and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and other medications as trained.
• Identify equipment issues and notify Bio-Med staff; perform QA/QC for equipment in use.
• Collect patient history and review image quality; forward to PACS in a timely manner.

Overview

The multi-modality technologist will be required to perform high quality radiologic exams with a minimum of two qualifying/credentialed modalities to meet the specific needs of the departments. The Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist is required to work routinely in all disciplines in which they are registered to perform exams. These include Diagnostic Xray, ComputedTomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone Density. The multimodalitytechnologist must participate in the on-call schedule where applicable.

Responsibilities

Job Requirement:

• Technologist will be required to perform invasive and noninvasiveprocedures, utilize sterile techniques when necessary, and operate complex imaging equipment underthe direction of the Director and/or Manager.
• Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory training.Staff orientation, onboarding, training and development.
• Participates in weekend schedule coverage, must participatesin the on call schedule where applicable. Covers additional shifts based on the department need.
• Preparation for the Joint Commission, ACR, Stericycleinspections and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Perform venipuncture to administer contrast media and othermedications with appropriate clinical education.
• Performs all other duties assigned by management within jobspecifications.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department and notifies Bio-Medand other service engineers of equipment issues. Performs and logs QA/QC for equipment in use.
• Collects and documents appropriate patient history. Reviewsimage quality and forwards timely to PACS.
• Initiates life support measures as appropriate.

• 1-3 years Knowledge of Radiographic procedures and practices required
• 1 -3 years Preferred experience in breast imaging preferred
• 1 -3 years CT scan experience - required in certain positionspreferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology
• program, (JRCERT). Must be American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered
• and hold post primary certification in a minimum of one additional qualifying discipline in which
• exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist upon hire. Must also hold
• current Basic Life Support certification and Florida State License for Radiographers.
