Mercyhealth Wisconsin and Illinois seeks a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist for night shifts. This role requires radiography proficiency across modalities, patient-focused care, and strict safety protocols. 40 hours weekly, night schedule, in Illinois/Wisconsin hospital settings.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT Radiography with CT credential within two years, and possess experience in a hospital environment. BLS/CPR is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
2–4 years of experience as Radiologic Technologist, hospital setting preferred.
ARRT radiography certification; CT credential within 2 years of hire.
IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation for Illinois; WI license for Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Maintain active status in practiced modalities.
Provide clinical leadership and complete projects.
Operate imaging equipment and position patients for exams.
Prepare patients and administer contrast media as appropriate.
Initiate basic life support when necessary and provide patient education.
Mentor staff and participate in departmental accreditation efforts.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking skilled, adaptable Multi-Modality Technologists with experience across multiple imaging modalities. Ideal candidates will be clinically strong, detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality imaging while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Schedule: 40 hours per week

Shift: Night Shift Hours

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completes projects, advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as requested.
Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.
Practices aseptic technique as necessary.
Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
Provides patient education.
Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.
Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
Other duties, tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Two to four years of experience as a technologist as a Radiographer is required. Experience in a hospital environment preferred

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

ARRT registered in Radiography required; the CT credential is required within two years of hire

IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois

WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin

BLS/CPR required within 90 days of hire

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience in working with radiologic technologists, radiologists and support staff in a multimodality department
Proficiency in mentoring employees and providing corrective action appropriately
Experience in obtaining departmental accreditation
Ability to communicate in a friendly and effective manner
Demonstrated ability to foster excellent teamwork in a radiology department
Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently
Read/comprehend written and verbal instructions
Basic PC skills
Manage stress appropriately
Make decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities
Manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately

Works independently, with limited direct supervision.

$35.85 - $58.20
