Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time CT Technologist to perform CT imaging, prepare patients with IVs and contrast, and ensure high-quality scans with strict safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT CAMRT or NMTCB registration, ongoing CE credits including CT, and at least one year in general diagnostic radiology, with CPR certification due within three months of hire. Qualifications

• Completion of ARRT approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Technology program.

• Continuing education credits per biennium; at least 2 CT credits.
• Document at least 20 hours of CT training/experience or ARRT CT certification.
• One-year experience in general diagnostic radiology.
• CPR certification/recertification within three months of hire.
• Preferred: ARRT(CT) or obtain ARRT(CT) within one year.

What the CT Technologist will Do

• Prepares patient by establishing necessary intravenous medications (IV) and administering oral and/or IV contrast media
• Produces computerized tomography scans by entering patient data, programming the scanner, and the power injector
• Evaluates the quality of images and films all images
• Utilizes radiation protection devices and protocols, and infection control policies and procedures
• Schedules and charges patients, retrieves films, and facilitates physician/patient inquiries
• Explains exam and procedures, and acquires patient history
• Monitors safety and comfort of patient through the exam

What the CT Technologist will Need

• Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Technology program.
• Must be currently registered by the American registry of radiologic technologists (ARRT), the Canadian association of medical radiation technologists (CAMRT), or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
• Must maintain continuing education credits per biennium to retain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of the certifying organization for the imaging modality in which services are performed. At least 2 of these credits must be in CT.
• Document at least 20 hours of training and experience in operating CT equipment, radiation physics, and radiation protection or have the advanced certification in computed tomography from the ARRT.
• One-year work experience in general diagnostic radiology.
• Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to a maximum of 35lbs. and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs.
• Preferred: ARRT(CT), and/or must obtain the ARRT(CT) within one year of hire
