Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a CT/X-Ray Dual Registered Technologist to perform radiology and CT examinations under the Imaging Director. The role supports hospital imaging services for diverse patient populations, following safety guidelines and established protocols.

Requirements include ARRT registration, SC licensure, BLS, an associate degree or equivalent, and 1 year CT/radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent; AMA approved radiology program.
• Two years of relevant radiology/CT experience preferred.
• ARRT registration and SC Radiation Quality Standards licensure required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality Radiology and CT/X-Ray exams per established protocols.
• Position patients accurately using immobilization devices when required.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies.

Job Description/Summary:

Graduate of an AMA approved school or training program, a 24-month approved School of Radiologic Technology, or other approved training (i.e.military), AND be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensed by SC Radiation Quality Standards Association.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

One year of experience as a registered Radiological Technologist and CT. Certification is required in modality area post radiology certification. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Has 1year to obtain second modality. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.

Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
