Job summary

Dallas County Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to independently perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist, in a high-tech, professional environment.

The role includes instructing student technologists, maintaining a clean, well-stocked department, operating imaging equipment safely, and coordinating department activities to ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Iowa Permit to Practice maintained.
• ARRT registry active.
• BLS certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback.
• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.
• Demonstrates proficiency in performing exams according to protocol.
• Maintains the department environment, keeping it clean and stocked.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, reporting malfunctions to management.
• Coordinates departmental activities to ensure patient care across the hospital.

Job Summary:

Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

Shift: Varied with call

What you will do:

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.


• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.


• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.


• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.


• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.


• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma


• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.


• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice


• Maintains active registry status in ARRT


• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.


• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
