Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Current Iowa Permit to Practice and ARRT registry active.
• BLS certification or obtained within three months of hire.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and diagnostic imaging procedures on scheduled shifts, including emergency callbacks.
• Operate CT and diagnostic imaging equipment, including OR imaging equipment.
• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists.
• Ensure exams are performed per protocol with proficiency.
• Maintain department environment as clean, stocked, and orderly.
• Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate patient care with other departments.

Job Summary:

Independently performs computed tomography and diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or team leader in a highly technical and professional manner.

Shift: Varied with call

What you will do:

• Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room.


• Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists.


• Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol.


• Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner.


• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med.


• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma


• Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.


• Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice


• Maintains active registry status in ARRT


• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.


• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served
