Job summary

Tyvan LLC in Florida is seeking a Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist (PRN) to operate CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound equipment and capture high-quality diagnostic images. You will follow physicians' instructions and ensure patient safety and comfort during scanning.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, conducting equipment warm-ups, sterilizing gear, administering contrast as prescribed, and monitoring for adverse reactions while maintaining strict infection control and inventory

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience in CT, X-ray, MRI, or US as verified by ARRT or RDMS.
  • At least one year in a hospital setting.
  • Certification in two or more modalities or cross-training completed.

  • Conduct warm-up sequences on radiologic equipment to maintain function.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment and follow infection control protocols.
  • Interpret and follow physicians’ scanning instructions.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents as prescribed and monitor for reactions.
  • Review scans to ensure technical quality standards are met.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance.
  • Monitor patients during scans and respond to adverse reactions.
  • Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report deficiencies.

Multi-Modality Radiology Technologist (PRN)

As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.
  • Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.
  • Interpret and follow physicians’ written scanning instructions accurately.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.
  • Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.
  • Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.
  • Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.
  • At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting.
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.
