Description:Responsible for the operation of various imaging equipment including x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography.Assists in accomplishing departmental objectives and goals.Helps create an environment that enables the medical imaging department to meet operational goals.Performs at least three of the listed modalities on a regular basis.Education and Work Experience:Associate's Degree in radiologic technology is required.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred.Master's Degree is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice is required.American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is required.Certification in at least one advanced modality is required.ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) is required.ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or equivalent is required.
Essential Functions:Performs various radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography, and ultrasound examinations consistent with experience.Safely transports and transfers patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.Tests defibrillator and checks the integrity of crash cart.Performs mobile imaging examinations as necessary.Safely prepares contrast agents for medical imaging procedures.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
