Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX seeks a Tech - Multi Modality to perform MRI, CT, Radiography and Angiography. The role requires proficiency in two modalities and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate will lead and train technologists and students, uphold radiation protection standards, and deliver excellent patient experiences in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology.
• Maintains Current ARRT registration.
• State of Texas General Radiology License (Texas Medical Board).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Comply with approved standards in patient safety, radiation protection, infection control and environmental control.
• Provide safe, comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Supervise students and provide feedback on their performance.
• Train fellow technologists in their modality.
• Demonstrate communication and problem-resolution skills; act as a professional role model.

Position: Tech - Multi Modality

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of technical procedures which may include: M.R.I., CAT Scan, Routine
Radiography and Angiography. The Tech - Multi Modality should be proficient in two areas, including Radiography.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Tech - Multi Modality will comply with approved standards in patient safety, radiation protection,
infection control and environment control. Provide an environment conducive to safety and comfort of
patients, staff and visitors. Utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in supervising students and providing
feedback concerning their performance. Has the ability to train fellow technologists in their particular
modality. Has communication and problem resolution skills and is a professional role model.
