Job summary

Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH) is seeking a CT technologist to operate the CT scanner under radiologists and the Director of Radiology. The role images head through extremities and participates in on-call duties, nights, weekends and holidays.

Compensation includes an attractive hourly range and a $7,500 commencement bonus with staged payment. Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and qualifications, with preferred CT certification and Meditech experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• Must be registered in radiography.
• Additional CT certification is preferred.
• Experience with neonatal to geriatric imaging is required.
• Willingness to cross-train in additional imaging modalities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with Meditech and computer applications is preferred.

Job description

This position is eligible for a commencement bonus of $7,500.00, with 50% payable at or around the hire date and the remaining 50% payable after six (6) months of continuous employment.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the radiologists and the supervision of the Director of Radiology. Operates Computerized Tomographic scanner to image the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $39.22/hr - $49.02/hr - $52.94/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's applicable experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Essential Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association-approved school of radiologic technology.
• Must be registered in at least radiography.
• Additional certification in computed tomography is preferred.
• Training and/or experience specific to radiology practices regarding neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients are required.
• Must be willing to cross-train in additional imaging modalities.
• A proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors is required.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment is necessary.
• Effective communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with Meditech Health Information System is preferred.
• Familiarity with computer applications is required.
• Must have technical aptitude and a willingness to learn software applications.

Sharing on call duties is required including nights, weekends and holidays.
