Job summary

Duke Health Cary is seeking a General Radiology Supervisor to oversee clinical operations in the Imaging Department at the Cary campus. You will lead scheduling, safety and quality initiatives, coordinating with physicians and technologists to ensure efficient patient flow.

The role requires ARRT/ARDMS/NMTCB certification, 4 years imaging experience, and at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. BLS certification is required. This is an on-site position on the Duke Health Cary campus.

Qualifications

• ARRT/ARDMS/CCI or NMTCB certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Four years of imaging modality experience; two years in a supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in complex technical activities in the Imaging Department, ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Plan and schedule work for the assigned unit, ensuring proper staffing and resources.
• Schedule patients for imaging, explain procedures, position patients, and report condition changes to the physician.
• Perform limited evaluation of imaging examinations to determine need for additional projections.
• Assist in updating technique charts/protocols to maintain image quality and ALARA standards.
• Review and compile statistical reports reflecting operational activities.
• Provide instruction and consultation to students and staff; recommend personnel actions.
• Perform other duties incidental to the work described.
