Job summary

Engineered Floors is seeking a loom operator to manage the operation of weaving machines and ensure continuous production. The role requires standing for a 12-hour shift, lifting heavy yarn cones, and immediate response to yarn breaks to keep production on schedule.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, sufficient color vision, and the ability to read and write. Prior machinery experience is preferred for safe operation around moving parts.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to read and write at a high school level.
• Must be physically able to stand for a 12-hour shift.
• Requires good color vision and hearing in a high-noise environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate 13-23 weaving machines.
• Lifts cones of yam 8-25 lbs and places on creel rack.
• Stand on feet for full 12-hour shift with breaks.
• Identify and repair yarn breaks and rethread yarn as needed.
• Distinguish colors of yarn and respond to loom indicator lights.
• Move creel racks and walk between machines on catwalks.
• Perform quality checks hourly to maintain production.
