Job summary

Flippers Pizza Co. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting for a growing pizza company with 15 locations. You will handle AP/AR, bank and card reconciliations, and assist with month-end close and financial reporting.

The role requires accuracy, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will collaborate with operations, vendors, and finance to ensure timely, documented financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; restaurant or multi-unit experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GL functions.
• Experience with AP, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for the company and locations.
• Prepare and post journal entries as assigned.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Support audit, tax, and financial reporting requests as needed.
• Review restaurant daily sales and reconcile to deposits and processor activity.
• Assist with accounts payable and vendor inquiries as assigned.
