Job summary

Covenant HealthCare is seeking a Clerical Clinical Medical Assistant to provide flexible clinical and administrative support across locations. You will handle vital signs, charting, insurance verification, scheduling, and patient communications with confidentiality and compassion.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, MA training or 1 year of experience, and BLS within six months. Strong organization, communication, and HIPAA knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an MA training program or 1 year clinical/administrative experience required.
• BLS certification within six months of hire or transfer.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients by recording vital signs and updating medical records.
• Assists providers during examinations and administers medications as ordered.
• Handles insurance verification, scheduling, and copay collection.
• Manages clerical tasks: phone calls, faxes, data entry, and chart maintenance.
• Maintains inventory and ensures infection control and safety guidelines.
