Job summary

JM Test Systems in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a senior accounting leader to own monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple locations, delivering GAAP-compliant statements for the Controller and CFO.

You will drive variance analysis, strengthen internal controls, supervise AP Supervisor and staff accountants, and push Sage 100 modernization while shaping the role as the company scales toward a Controller-level scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple locations.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting staff (e.g., AP or staff accountants).
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting variance analysis and financial results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across all JM Test locations.
• Deliver variance analysis and executive-ready reporting that ties numbers to business activity.
• Strengthen internal controls and multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax compliance.
• Lead the AP Supervisor and staff accountants; push Sage 100 modernization.
• Path toward a Controller-level role as the company scales across locations and lines of business.
