Job summary

CCMSI is seeking a Multi-Line Claim Representative I (Auto/Property) for a national accounts environment. This remote, full-time role handles cradle-to-grave claims in commercial auto and property with 1–2 years of experience and an active home-state adjuster license.

You will investigate, evaluate, and settle claims, maintain documentation, communicate with clients, and pursue subrogation where applicable—while upholding standards and client instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and adjust commercial auto and property claims in accordance with corporate standards, client guidelines, and jurisdictional requirements
  • Apply knowledge of commercial auto policies and coverage to determine compensability and exposure
  • Conduct thorough liability investigations, including fact gathering, analysis, and documentation
  • Apply principles of contributory/comparative negligence in claim evaluation and decision-making
  • Establish and maintain appropriate reserves within authority guidelines
  • Review damage estimates, invoices, and related documentation for accuracy and relevance
  • Negotiate settlements within authority limits and in alignment with client expectations
  • Issue claim payments according to CCMSI procedures and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely claim documentation and diary management

Job Summary

The Multi-Line Claim Representative I is responsible for the investigation and adjustment of assigned commercial auto and property claims within a national accounts environment. This role manages claims from assignment through resolution (cradle to grave) while adhering to CCMSI claim handling standards, client-specific instructions, and applicable state regulations.

This position is designed for early-career adjusters with 1–2 years of claim handling experience who possess a foundational understanding of coverage and liability investigation. The ideal candidate demonstrates accountability, attention to detail, and a strong desire to grow within a multi-line claims environment.

This is not a high-volume, quick-resolution claim environment. Adjusters are expected to take ownership of their files, maintain consistent communication, and deliver quality outcomes through strong follow-through and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of claim handling experience (commercial auto and/or property)
  • Foundational understanding of commercial auto coverage
  • Experience or training in liability investigations and negligence evaluation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and accountability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Reliable, predictable attendance during assigned client service hours
  • Current adjuster license in home state
Nice to Have
  • Experience handling multiple accounts in a national or carrier environment
  • Prior TPA experience
  • Additional state adjuster licenses are a plus
  • Exposure to general liability claims
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency preferred

Compensation & Compliance

The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good‑faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
