Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Multi-Licensed Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems at customer sites in Texas. The role requires working with hand tools, testing equipment, and documenting results accurately, while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in fire and life safety, RME-I, and NICET Level I or higher preferred, with a clean driving record and ability to

Qualifications

• RME-I required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician/inspector required.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Clean driving record with active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
