Job summary

Three-Hotel Property Group is seeking an Area Chief Engineer to oversee engineering/maintenance across three properties, ensuring safety, appearance, and reliable operation of all facilities.

You will lead teams, set maintenance standards, manage vendor and lifecycle projects, and prioritize work based on guest impact and occupancy. This hands‑on role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and the ability to respond to emergencies after hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or related experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and hotel maintenance operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance issues.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple properties and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Ability to respond to maintenance emergencies outside of normal business hours when necessary.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between the three properties.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Engineering/Maintenance operations at all three hotel properties.
• Establish maintenance standards, procedures, and expectations across all properties.
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly priorities based on property needs and guest impact.
• Regularly inspect properties to identify maintenance deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain a visible presence at each hotel to ensure adequate engineering coverage.
• Coordinate engineering resources between properties as needed.
• Serve as the primary contact for General Managers on maintenance and projects.
