Job summary

The Menta Education Group is hiring for a Special Education or General Education Teacher in Beardstown, IL. You will teach in a small self-contained classroom, combining SEL with inquiry-based academics and a PBIS framework.

Role supports a classroom of about 10 students, with remote and in-person instruction, and multiple grade levels. Benefits include tuition reimbursement and a sign-on bonus for certified teachers.

Qualifications

• IL PEL with LBS1 Certification or IL teaching credential.
• Ability to teach multiple grade levels as populations change.
• Experience with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic difficulties.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach all subjects in remote and in-person classroom settings.
• Provide a differentiated learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff including curriculum and clinical teams to achieve positive results.
• Gain on-campus support from Menta staff to personalize learning.
• Provide a social-emotional learning environment for students.
• Maintain a classroom size of about 10 with paraprofessional support.
