Job summary

YMCA of Central Stark County (Ohio) is seeking part-time group exercise instructors to lead a variety of weekday morning classes, including Pilates, Senior Fitness, Step, and Parkinson's. Classes run at the Lake Community YMCA with an emphasis on enthusiasm and member engagement.

Qualified applicants should have strong interpersonal skills; CPR/AED certification is preferred and training will be provided if needed; national fitness accreditation certification is required.

Qualifications

• Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
• Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
• Able to teach multiple formats, preferred

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
• Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
• Serve as a good role model
• Communicate with team members
• Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
