Job summary

Minerva Area YMCA is seeking part-time Group Exercise Instructors to lead a variety of adult classes, with weekday mornings/evenings and Saturday mornings available. Classes times are flexible and can be discussed based on instructor availability and member needs.

Greet members with enthusiasm, design class formats suitable for participants, and model YMCA values. CPR/AED certification is preferred (provided if needed) and instructors may teach multiple formats such as gentle yoga or dance for

Qualifications

• Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR and AED certification preferred, but will provide
• Certification from nationally-recognized fitness accreditation agency
• Able to teach multiple formats (gentle yoga, dance, etc) targeting older adults preferred

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet the members with enthusiasm
• Design class format appropriate for type of class and participants
• Serve as a good role model
• Communicate with team members
• Address difficult situations by using the YMCA Character Values as a guide
