Job summary

Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking an entry-level Housing Support Specialist to assist the housing management team in administering rental assistance programs for low-income clients in Alaska.

You will handle front-line inquiries, schedule appointments, provide program information, assist with applications and verifications, and help applicants understand eligibility requirements while complying with regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in business English and basic math; professional communication skills.
• Knowledge of affordable housing regulations and office practices.

Responsibilities

• Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls to AHFC personnel.
• Manage appointment scheduling, including rescheduling and cancellations.
• Provide accurate program information to clients and assist with applications.
• Assist with application reviews, verifications, and input client data into AHFC systems.
• Provide appropriate community resource referrals when needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
