Job summary

AION Management LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Alden in Pittsburgh. Under the direction of the Service Director and Property Manager, you will perform general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping to maintain curb appeal and high-quality apartment homes.

This full-time position requires responding to service requests, completing tasks, and working weekends/on-call as scheduled. Experience in maintenance, a valid driver's license, and good English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Type I & II preferred, 180 days from hire to obtain.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs, lift 60 lbs, climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing.
• Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessment up to the standards of a Service Technician I.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials.
• Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments.
• Notify Business Manager of any safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Responsible for knowledge of property specific problems such as asbestos.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.
• Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards.
• Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24/7 as scheduled.

Job description

Under the direction of the Service Director and Property Manager, the Maintenance Technician at The Alden in Pittsburgh is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes and responding to customer service requests.

• Hourly rate starting at $23/hour; pay based upon experience
• Earn $15/day (on top of base pay) during on-call weeks

Maintenance Services:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials
• Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments
