Job summary

A leading company seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure upkeep of properties in Indianapolis. This role involves performing necessary repairs and maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to handle physical aspects of the job.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • CFC Type I & II certification to be obtained within 180 days.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections.
  • Complete service requests and ensure property curb appeal.
  • Assist with snow removal and maintain records of tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintenance Services

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned
  • Assist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materials
  • Perform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standards
  • Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartments
  • Notify Business Manager of any safety concerns and participate in safety meetings
  • Responsible for knowledge of property specific problems such as asbestos
  • Assist in snow removal as required
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Maintain accurate record of all tasks completed Customer Service
  • Complete all service requests in accordance with company standards
  • Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as scheduled

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CFC Type I & II , 180 days from hire to obtain
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and
  • Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushing
  • Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessment up to the standards of a Service Technician I
