Job summary

MakeReady Masters is expanding its consolidated apartment-turn and portfolio-support operation across established multifamily communities in Charleston and Beaufort. We are hiring one highly capable maintenance technician who understands multifamily operations and can take a unit from inspection through verified rent-ready completion.

This is a hands-on mobile position serving multiple communities. The successful candidate will combine strong technical ability with production awareness,

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
• Minimum five years of multifamily or commercial-residential maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of apartment turns, service requests and rent-ready standards.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and finish carpentry.
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willing to work at properties in Charleston and Beaufort.
• Professional communication and organized documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment make-readies and prioritized punch-list repairs.
• Diagnose and service HVAC and heat-pump systems per EPA requirements.
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliance and mechanical issues.
• Replace faucets, toilets, disposals, fixtures, switches and related hardware.
• Install and adjust doors, locks, cabinets, blinds and trim.
• Complete drywall repairs, caulking and paint touch-ups.
• Support pool inspection, water testing and CPO-compliant operations.
• Identify material requirements before mobilization.
• Document conditions and completed work with clear photographs.
• Communicate progress, delays and scope changes promptly.
• Help develop standards and support field personnel as the company grows

We are hiring one highly capable maintenance technician who understands multifamily operations, speaks the language of apartment maintenance, and can take a unit from inspection through verified rent-ready completion.

This is a hands-on mobile position serving multiple communities. The successful candidate will combine strong technical ability with production awareness, professional communication and leadership potential.

Core Responsibilities

• Complete apartment make-readies and prioritized punch-list repairs
• Diagnose and service residential HVAC and heat-pump systems within EPA requirements
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliance and mechanical issues
• Replace faucets, toilets, disposals, fixtures, switches, receptacles and apartment hardware
• Install and adjust doors, locks, cabinets, blinds, trim and shoe molding
• Complete drywall repairs, caulking and professional paint touch-ups
• Support pool inspection, water testing and CPO-compliant operations when assigned
• Identify material requirements before mobilization
• Document conditions and completed work with clear photographs
• Communicate progress, delays and additional scope promptly
• Help develop standards and support additional field personnel as the company grows

Required Qualifications

• Current EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
• At least five years of multifamily, commercial-residential or comparable property-maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of apartment turns, service requests and rent-ready standards
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances and finish carpentry
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete common repairs independently
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work at assigned properties in Charleston and Beaufort
• Professional communication, dependable attendance and organized documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• CAMT or comparable multifamily-maintenance training
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage or similar work-order systems
• Previous maintenance-lead or supervisory experience
• Experience coordinating materials and sequencing apartment turns

Compensation and Opportunity

• $25-$35 per hour based on verified certifications, experience and demonstrated proficiency
• Full-time W-2 employment with scheduled company payroll
