Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Community Manager to oversee on-site property operations, leasing, budgets, and staff management. The role emphasizes leadership of property staff, leasing of units, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in multi-family residential property management, preferably with supervision experience.
• Multi-family residential leasing experience required; Accredited Resident Manager or similar designation preferred.
• Accounting/Financial and Administrative background preferred.
• Tax Credit, Section 8 and/or Public housing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of college preferred.
• Required certifications or licenses preferred, or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site property operations and staff.
• Hire, train staff; conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Develop schedules and assign office and maintenance work.
• Train staff on safety procedures; report accidents.
• Create marketing campaigns to lease units; sign leases.
• Ensure resident compliance with eligibility requirements.
• Assist in budgeting and maintain financial records.
• Oversee contractors and negotiate vendor contracts.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two or more years of college

Valid driver’s license and driving record
