Keller Executive Search is partnering with a rapidly growing professional services firm to appoint a Director of Accounting. This leadership role standardises accounting practices, drives operational excellence across entities, and ensures timely financial reporting.

You will oversee multi-entity operations, improve close timelines, and support post-acquisition integration while delivering clear, financial insights to executives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Experience overseeing month-end close in complex organisations.
• Proven ability to improve systems, controls and reporting processes.
• Experience supervising remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee accounting operations across multiple legal entities.
• Drive month-end close processes with Day 10 target.
• Standardise policies, chart of accounts and reporting frameworks.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop rolling cash flow forecasts (8+ weeks).
• Establish internal controls and financial governance.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including remote bookkeepers.
• Support integration of acquired entities and system alignment.
• Provide decision-ready financial insights to executives.
• Identify and address reporting discrepancies and risks.
