Job summary

Filtration Group - Finishing in Columbus, OH seeks a Production Operator to operate machinery across multiple departments, monitor production and ensure safety and quality standards.

You will train new operators, adapt to shifts, and support department leads while maintaining a clean work area. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, manual dexterity, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate in three or more departments on critical equipment.
• Knowledge of company products and procedures.
• Customer focused with a strong attention to detail.
• Able to work overtime on short notice.
• Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more pieces of machinery across multiple departments.
• Monitor production to assure quality standards are met.
• Able to train new operators.
• Shift between departments based on demand fluctuations in critical positions.
• Assist the Line Lead and Group Lead with ensuring the department follows the production schedule.
• Provide coverage in the absence of Line Leads and Group Leads for supervisory responsibilities when necessary.
• Start and stop machine at specified intervals and operate per specifications.
• Perform set-up duties and minor equipment adjustments as agreed with Maintenance.
• Report any operation deviations from quality, production or safety standards.
• Monitor raw material usage and report excessive loss.
• Document daily production and maintain a clean work area.
