Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is home to the A. O. Smith Water Systems Division, where we engineer and manufacture expansion tanks for water heating systems along with storage and well water tanks.

Responsibilities

Maintenance role with skilled technician capabilities (robotics, programming, specialist, skilled technician) - safety sensitive

• Work in a safe and responsible manner using LOTO and ensuring those you are working with do the same.
• Understand and comply with OSHA, Safety and PPE requirements of A.O. Smith.
• Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure and make proper adjustments to all relevant equipment including hydraulic presses, DOT testers, welders, and gas ovens.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
• Use technical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics, and PLC for troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Communicate clearly with team lead and/or production lead on equipment issues during production runs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical prints, hydraulic prints, and pneumatic prints to perform required maintenance repairs and service to equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical & hydraulics with 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma with 5 years of manufacturing experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and PLCs in lieu of an Associate's degree.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work occasional opposite shifts, call-ins, and weekends.
• Able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.

We Offer

Regularly Scheduled Hours: 2nd Shift; 3:30pm - 12:00am

Pay: $32.20/hr. to start, depending on experience ($32.20/hr. plus a $.75/hr. shift differential)
