Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide general and preventive maintenance and repair of all production equipment, systems and facilities.
• Support new equipment and machinery installation, facilities upgrades and redesigns, and provide input on new equipment and facilities upgrades.
• Work overtime, including on‑call weekend shifts, and across shifts as needed to support seamless operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and manufacturing equipment such as motors, pumps, conveying systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Leverage a work order system to track maintenance activities, identify replacement timelines, and manage workflow and productivity.
• Resolve equipment issues by analyzing discrepancies, identifying repair parts and coordinating parts purchase(s) with the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems, including electrical motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated packaging systems including conveyors, palletizers, de‑palletizers, and labeling machines.
• Maintain and repair facilities systems, including compressed air, boilers and fire suppression.
• Identify and repair issues within grain handling, mashing and distillation systems.
• Provide preventive maintenance and problem resolution for barrel handling equipment and all air‑handling units.
• Partner with other members of the maintenance team to complete all repairs and project work on time and on budget.
• Maintain a clean and organized spare parts supply area.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent vocational training or work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in both single‑ and three‑phase electrical systems.
• Fluency in basic mechanical and electrical terminology, equipment characteristics and facilities maintenance terms.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and diagrams.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to manage through issue resolution.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, reach, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, grasp and climb stairs/ladders.
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and lift/carry up to 70 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to pass drug & alcohol screening, physical abilities test, and other testing as required.
• Ability to anticipate roadblocks and issues that could derail a job.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Availability to work on‑call weekend shifts as scheduled.

Preferred Skills

• Consumer packaging experience.
• Arc flash training.
• Welding experience.
• Boiler maintenance experience.

Shift and Compensation

• Position will work on a 12‑hour night shift (4 on, 4 off) from 7:00pm to 7:00am.
• Hourly pay rate of $31.00 plus shift differential.
