Schedule based on a 2-2-3 pattern, alternating weekends.

Working Conditions: The AeroFarms facility has two areas: one warm and humid (78°F), the other cold (35°F). PPE provided by AeroFarms is required in GMP/food production areas.

Position: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

This role involves troubleshooting, dismantling, inspecting, repairing, modifying, rebuilding, servicing, and adjusting all types of plant equipment. You will join during the start-up/ramp-up phase to gain hands-on experience with systems and equipment as the plant approaches full operation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and troubleshoot motion-controlled systems with integrated robotic work cells.
2. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and systems.
3. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
4. Collaborate with production team members to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
6. Work with Packaging Technicians and Farm Equipment Operators on equipment settings and baseline conditions.
7. Read electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC prints and schematics.
8. Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, motors, controls, VFDs, sensors, valves, lighting, pumps, and environmental sensors.
9. Assist in developing plans for equipment improvements through root cause analysis.
10. Complete other duties as assigned, including overtime and various shifts.
11. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools.
12. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
13. Exercise good judgment, complete tasks independently, and manage multiple priorities to minimize process interruptions.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial robotic automation.
• Proficiency in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Experience:

• Industrial maintenance and robotics experience.
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, drives, circuits, thermocouples, HVAC, and related systems.
• Skills in troubleshooting, conduit work, wiring, and electronic repairs.
• CPVC installation and repair experience.
• Operation of forklifts, aerial lifts, cranes, and mobile equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
• Ability to inspect, assess, and perform maintenance on production machinery.
• Knowledge of calibration and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work in environments with temperature variations, chemical exposure, and physical demands like heavy lifting and working at heights.

Skills:

• High concentration, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks safely.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Physical ability to perform strenuous activities, including lifting over 50 lbs and working in high areas.
• Experience operating MEWPs, aerial lifts, and PIT equipment safely.
• Fanuc robotics experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
