Danfoss Hydraulics Division is seeking a 3rd Shift Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Van Wert, Ohio. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, with PM procedures and utilities installation for scheduled events.

Salary range is $28 to $33 per hour plus a $2.50 shift premium; benefits begin on day one, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, an annual bonus, and paid parental leave.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and mechanical blueprints and instructions.
• Understand and apply TPM concepts and Lean principles.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to operate maintenance software.
• Minimum four years of documented industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of waste types and Lean manufacturing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical blueprints and instruction manuals.
• Move between work areas to meet delivery and productivity goals with minimal supervision.
• Promote a cooperative, team-oriented work environment.
• Maintain a safe work environment and complete required safety training.
• Perform repairs using powered hand tools, welding, cutting and grinding.

The Impact You'll Make

Danfoss Hydraulics Division is seeking a 3rd Shift Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Van Wert, Ohio facility.As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, the role involves performing all necessary tasks required to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain both simple and complex production equipment. The technician will assist in the development of PM Procedures and perform those tasks as scheduled, as well as handle equipment moves and the installation of utilities for scheduled events. Proficiency in all basic industrial maintenance skills, including Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulics, is required. The wage range is $28 to $33 per hour, with starting pay determined by verified years of experience in industrial multi-craft maintenance and related technical education. A 3rd shift premium of $2.50 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and mechanical blue prints, job instructions and precision measurement tools.
• Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant. Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
• Promotes cooperation and "team oriented" work environment at all times under the direction of the leadership team.
• Creates/maintains a safe work environment and practices safety for himself and others at all times and attends appropriate training seminars.
• Proficient with powered handtools, welding, cutting, and grinding necessary to make repairs.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Minimum of four years’ experience of documented industrial maintenance experience.
• Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles.
• One year experience utilizing and understanding Total Productive MFG. (TPM) philosophy
• Must have basic computer skills (Word-Excel-Notepad) to operate software utilized for our maintenance management (Mainsaver).
• Productivity: Ability to meet or exceed productivity goals, manages time wisely, stays on task requiring little supervision to get the job done.
