Job summary
Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and operations during production hours. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, address breakdowns, and assist in upgrades to improve equipment reliability.
The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding, and drive systems. Safety policies and LOTO/SJP practices are essential across the facility.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field.
- 2+ years in industrial maintenance or 5 years in the field.
- Willingness to work flexible schedule incl. overtime and off shifts.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, pumps, and conveyors.
- Ability to communicate across shifts and departments clearly.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and tackle breakdowns.
- Assist in equipment upgrades to improve reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues safely.
- Maintain compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize downtime.
