Job summary

CARBO Ceramics is seeking a Multi-craft Maintenance Tech to safely install, maintain, and repair production and quality equipment in a heavy industrial plant. The role emphasizes reliability, lubrication, and inspection of bearings, gearboxes, motors, conveyors, and valves.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and support plant uptime in a rotating shift environment. Facilities operate in a demanding setting with exposure to heat, dust, and noise.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive and reliability maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Experience with electrical motor control systems up to 480 V and related troubleshooting.
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate in dusty, hot environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair production and quality equipment to maximize uptime.
• Perform routine lubrication and inspection of bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyors.
• Conduct non-routine repairs and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot, replace, or repair motor control systems and related equipment.
• Collaborate with electricians and plant staff to ensure safety and reliability.
• Operate in a high-temperature, dusty environment and adhere to safety standards.
