Nucor Tubular Products Birmingham is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and operations by performing preventative maintenance, addressing breakdowns and assisting in upgrades to improve equipment reliability during production hours.

The ideal candidate has a technical degree in industrial maintenance and 2+ years of maintenance experience, with hydraulic/pneumatic, welding and electrical skills, plus strong communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree related to Industrial Maintenance.
• 2+ years in industrial maintenance or 5+ years in the field.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and rotating shifts.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatics, welding, pumps and conveyors.
• Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Strong communication across shifts and departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine preventative maintenance to support production teams.
• Address breakdowns and assist with upgrades to improve reliability.
• Perform minor to extensive repairs and PM tasks.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure safety policies (JHA, SJP, LOTO) are followed at all times.
• Coordinate with shifts and departments to minimize downtime.
