Job summary

Columbia Forest Products seeks a maintenance technician to support plant operations in Old Fort, North Carolina. The role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with responsibilities including directing team members on emergency calls and PMs, overseeing safety, quality and productivity, and troubleshooting equipment.

Knowledge of drawings is preferred, with overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with occasional 100 lbs; overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Directs team members on Emergency calls, PMs, and related tasks.
• Oversees safety, quality and productivity of team members.
• Troubleshoots equipment (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical).
• Assist in capital projects including construction and installation.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Notifies Team Leads if standard work cannot be followed.
• Maintain a clean and safe maintenance workplace.
