Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking an Early Intervention Coordinator in Lowndes County to lead Babies Can't Wait services for infants and toddlers. This full-time, benefit-eligible position emphasizes program administration, quality improvement, and cross-agency collaboration.

You will manage resources, recruit qualified professionals, oversee compliance, and support families through the statewide contracting process.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education (early childhood or special education) or related field.
  • Two years of professional experience with infants/toddlers or related admin experience, or five years with infants/toddlers.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of federal, state and local guidelines for Babies Can't Wait.
  • Manage budgets, personnel and resources to ensure program compliance.
  • Lead quality assurance/quality improvement based on data and reporting.
  • Supervise staff, provide coaching, and develop employees.
  • Recruit professionals and link through the contracting process to maintain a provider network.
  • Review financial reports, monitor budgets, and participate in audits as required.
  • Collaborate with community partners to support children with special needs and families.
  • Promote Babies Can't Wait and related programs to increase early identification.
