Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health’s Babies Can't Wait program seeks an Early Intervention Coordinator to implement guidelines across a 10‑county health district in Georgia. This role ensures quality services for infants and toddlers with special needs and their families, coordinating across public and private partners.

The coordinator oversees program operations, budgets, and staff development, with recruiting and contracting responsibilities to maintain a robust provider network.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education (early childhood or special education), pediatric nursing, psychology, social work or related field; 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field with 5 years of relevant experience in service delivery or health program administration.

Responsibilities

  • Implement federal, state and local guidelines for Babies Can't Wait and ensure program compliance.
  • Manage fiscal, personnel and other resources to provide quality services to enrolled children and families.
  • Provide coaching, support and development opportunities to staff; supervise multiple direct reports.
  • Recruit qualified professionals and assist with linkage to statewide contracting processes.
  • Review financial reports; authorize expenditures and participate in audits as required.
