firstPRO, Inc is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join its Outsourced Accounting team in Delaware, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients with full-spectrum accounting tasks.

You will handle payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly close, while preparing financial statements and budgets. Strong QuickBooks certification and multi-client handling are required, with accuracy and client-service focus.

Qualifications

• QuickBooks certification is required.
• Hands-on experience with payroll processing.
• Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Public accounting, outsourced accounting, or professional services experience is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of reconciliations, AP/AR, journal entries, and financial statements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and competing deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and client-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Perform bank and checkbook reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Process and manage payroll for client organizations.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing, reconciliation, and follow-up.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly and year-end close activities.
• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Assist clients with cash flow management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages containing financial statements, budgets, executive summaries, and other key financial information.
• Prepare IRS Form 1099s and support various tax-related reporting requirements.
• Assist with the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns.
• Help clients establish and improve internal control policies and procedures.
• Stay current on new accounting standards and assist clients with implementation and compliance.
• Support audit preparation and provide requested schedules and documentation.
• Assist with developing and implementing client budgets.
