Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to lead full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff across multiple SLCC campuses. You will supervise, train, and perform hands-on turf care, irrigation work, and seasonal landscape tasks while ensuring safety and high standards.

This role requires responding to emergencies, coordinating with Facilities, maintaining equipment, and managing work orders in the CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Utah driver's license and ability to obtain campus vehicle training certification.
• Forklift certification within six months of start date.
• Herbicide and pesticide licenses within six months.
• On-call 24/7 for snow removal and irrigation emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise groundskeepers and seasonal staff across campus locations.
• Oversee task assignments, timekeeping, and performance documentation.
• Hands-on turf, planting, pruning, irrigation troubleshooting and repairs.
• Operate and maintain grounds and snow removal equipment.
• Submit work orders in the CMMS and coordinate with Facilities.
