Job summary

Lincoln Tech, in partnership with NJ Transit, seeks an experienced trainer to deliver diesel and electronic systems curriculum across NJ Transit facilities. You will travel among sites, teaching hands-on and diagnostic-focused instruction to working professionals, shaping curriculum and operational readiness.

The role emphasizes practical instruction, diagnostics, and collaboration with transit maintenance teams to keep fleets running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diagnostic and repair of heavy-duty diesel engines and drivetrain.
• Experience with electrical and electronic control systems.
• Experience with brake systems.
• Ability to explain complex repairs clearly and confidently.

• Deliver NJ Transit’s diesel and electronic curriculum through hands-on instruction in classrooms, workshops, and live work settings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in diagnostic and repair of:
  • Heavy‑duty diesel engines and drivetrain
  • Electrical and electronic control systems
  • Brake systems
• Ability to explain complex repairs clearly and confidently.
• ASE certifications or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Experience with apprenticeship or workforce development programs is a bonus.
• Teaching or training experience is a plus but not required.
