Job summary

Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CT is seeking skilled Diesel Technicians to become instructors in our Diesel Technology program. No teaching experience required.

We offer a four-day work week with full-time benefits and a sign-on bonus. The role focuses on hands-on training, safety, and helping students launch careers in diesel technology.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Diesel Technician experience.
• ASE certifications T-6, T-8 required within first 3 months.
• EPA 609 certification required within first 3 months.
• Current ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications T4, T6, and T8.
• Current ASE certifications in subject areas of instruction.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Great communication skills.
• Proficient in technology.
• OEM or equivalent industry-related training.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
• Current ASE Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and provide hands‑on training in Diesel Technology in our fully equipped facility.
• Facilitate and effectively deliver Lincoln Tech accredited course curriculum using our Blended Learning Model.
• Support and motivate student growth, professionalism, and accountability through advising and mentoring.
• Evaluate and communicate progress with students fairly and consistently.
• Teach students about the importance of safety and compliance.
• Maintain a professional, visitor‑ready classroom environment.
• Complete Lincoln Instructor Foundational Training (LIFT) program.
• Prepare students for a successful career in the field of Diesel Technology.
