Ketchie Inc. in Concord, North Carolina is seeking a Multi-Axis Machining Quotation Project Lead to turn drawings into dependable quotes. You’ll read complex prints, visualize fixturing and tooling, estimate cycle time with confidence, and balance margin and delivery while supporting new part launches and prove-outs.

You’ll lead technical discussions with machinists, materials specialists, and quality to ensure accurate project execution and profitable quotations in a modern AS9100 environment.

Formación

• 7+ years in CNC machining and quoting.
• Ability to read complex drawings and GD&T.

Multi-Axis Machining Quotation Project LeadAre you the person who can turn a drawing into a dependable quote?If you can read a complex print, visualize fixturing and tooling, estimate cycle time with confidence, and still keep your eye on margin and delivery, you’ll feel right at home at Ketchie Inc. in Concord, North Carolina.We’re a full-service precision CNC machine shop serving government and commercial customers across Rail, Aerospace, Heavy Machinery, Industrial Equipment, and specialized OEMs. Our mission is to give American manufacturers confidence in their supply chain by investing in people, process, and technology.We operate an AS9100-certified facility equipped with collaborative robots, pallet automation, 5-axis machining, turning, milling, broaching, EDM, grinding, and gear cutting.Your challengeOwn the RFQ lifecycle for designated customers—from first receipt to final quote submission and order review—acting as the primary point of contact. Build compliant, competitive quotations by blending technical judgment with business acumen.What success looks likeRFQs are triaged, prioritized with the Sales Manager, and delivered on time.Every quote accurately reflects production time, materials, labor, outside processes, and delivery requirements.All customer-submitted requirements are met and documented.Margins on awarded work are reviewed upon receipt; recommendations are made to adjust where needed to maintain profitability.Technical risks are surfaced early through collaboration with machinists, materials specialists, and quality.How you’ll do itRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, technical documents, material specifications, and GD&T.Develop cost estimates and detailed quotations; evaluate each for cost-effectiveness and alignment with company goals.Recommend process changes to improve efficiency and quality without compromising standards.Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate across sales, production, and quality to resolve issues and ensure accurate project execution.Support new part launches and prove-outs, translating intent into manufacturable methods.What you bring7+ years of CNC machining experience and a strong hands-on background.Mastery of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters.Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and GD&T.Experience with new part introductions and prove-outs.Excellent planning, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Preferred familiarity with Mastercam and/or Mazatrol.Technical toolkitTime Study AnalysisCNC ProgrammingERP & MRP SystemsAS9100 ExperienceIf you’re energized by turning requirements into reliable, profitable quotes—and by partnering with skilled machinists in a modern, automated, AS9100 environment—we’d like to meet you.
