Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a senior CNC Process Engineer to own end-to-end CNC processes for new product introductions and production. You’ll partner with quality, setup leads, machinists, and design engineering to optimize tooling, fixturing, programming, and documentation while driving on-time delivery.

A strong background in multi-axis machining, GD&T, and Lean/CI is required; you’ll mentor shop floor staff, ensure safety, and push continuous improvement across the manufacturing workflow.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in CNC machining/process engineering with hands-on programming and setup.
  • Mastery of multi-axis work: 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and multi-axis mill-turn lathes.
  • Fluent in reading drawings/specs and applying GD&T (Y14.5).
  • Comfortable with metrology tools and measurement systems.
  • Lean/CI track record and strong root-cause problem solving.
  • Team-first communicator who collaborates across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Build CNC processes end to end: tooling, fixturing, and multi-axis programming.
  • Program with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Esprit, Siemens NX) and validate in VERICUT.
  • Analyze workflows to boost productivity, slash waste, and standardize best practices.
  • Drive root-cause investigations and lock in corrective/preventive actions.
  • Produce clear work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs that operators can trust.
  • Coach machinists on probing, macro programming, and quality-first execution.
  • Lead Lean initiatives—5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen—across the shop floor.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in every process.

Job description

Ready to turn fresh designs into repeatable, high-yield CNC realities? If you thrive on building first-article success into steady-state production, this role is for you. You’ll be the go-to partner for quality engineers, QA, setup leads, machinists, and design engineering—owning CNC process creation, verification, optimization, and documentation for NPI.

Why this role matters
  • Own process performance—reduce cycle time, elevate quality, and hit on-time delivery.
  • Bring DFM upstream so parts are built for manufacturability from day one.
  • Scale smart—choose the right machines, tooling, and technologies to ramp effectively.
What you’ll tackle
  • Build CNC processes end to end: tooling, fixturing, and multi-axis programming.
  • Program with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Esprit, Siemens NX) and validate in VERICUT.

  • Coach machinists on probing, macro programming, and quality-first execution.
  • Lead Lean initiatives—5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen—across the shop floor.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in every process.
