Job summary

Vip Staffing - zrsali is seeking a CNC Operator for 1st and 2nd shifts in the San Antonio area. You will operate multiple CNC machines, inspect parts, and ensure adherence to dimensional tolerances.

The role requires basic math skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to cross-train across CNC equipment. Prior experience with multi-axis CNCs is preferred, with CNC programming being a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in setting up multi-axis CNCs; routers, horizontal milling, and/or vertical milling machines.
• CNC programming is a plus.
• Knowledge and use of precision measuring instrument, including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators.
• Understanding blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing interpretation.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously without routine supervision. Will be expected to cross-train on all CNC equipment.
• Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals.
• Interprets basic dimensions on a print and loads, unloads and inspects parts while maintaining dimensional tolerances within specifications.
• Accurately utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins and depth micrometers.
• Detects equipment malfunctions and/or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine as required to ensure quality of production.
• Reports machining problems to supervisor for assistance.
• Maintains a clean work area, including equipment, and observes all safety procedures.
• Follows documented operator procedures including but not limited to inspection check sheets and operator notes.
• Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
