Job summary

Smith Brothers Tool Company is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to set up and operate multi-axis milling equipment. You will read drawings, adjust offsets, and verify dimensions to tight tolerances on precision parts.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC milling experience, are proficient with G-code/M-code, and comfortable working with Fanuc, Siemens or Haas controls. This is a hands-on, in-person role with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC milling experience.
• Read blueprints and hold tight tolerances.
• Strong math skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience with Fanuc, Fidia C20, Siemens, Haas, or similar controls.
• CNC programming familiarity (G-code and M-code).

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate multi-axis CNC milling equipment
• Read engineering drawings and prints to meet exact specs
• Edit programs at the machine and adjust tool/work offsets
• Measure critical features with calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Troubleshoot issues and perform basic preventive maintenance
• Maintain a tidy, organized work cell
