Job summary

MD&A, Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, IGT Division, is seeking an experienced multi-axis CNC creep feed grinder programmer/operator to advance their career in cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Responsibilities include programming, setup, in-process inspection, tooling selection, and continuous improvement within GMP and lean environments. Experience in gas turbine or aerospace sectors is highly desirable.

Qualifications

High School/Trade school diploma required.
Thorough understanding of CNC grinding principles.
Experience with creep feed grinding.
Ability to read complex drawings and GD&T.
Proficient in precision measurement with metrology tools.
3-5 years multi-axis CNC grinding experience.
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays; overtime.
Experience in the industrial gas turbine or aerospace industry is desirable.
Lean and 6S manufacturing awareness.

Responsibilities

Load workpieces, select appropriate grinding wheels, program and set up machine parameters based on part drawing and specifications, including feed rates and depth of cut.
Create and modify CNC programs to execute complex grinding paths for intricate geometries.
Continuously monitor the grinding process, perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances.
Perform deburr operations within specified tolerances.
Design and develop measuring/inspection process and fixturing when required.
Identify and resolve issues related to machine malfunctions, tool wear, and process variations.
Document all inspection findings and adhere to retention policy.
Adhere to GMP and housekeeping standards and perform routine CNC grinder maintenance.
Performs additional and related duties as assigned.
