Job summary

West Virginia K-12 Jobs is seeking a Student Assistant Team (SAT) Coordinator at Taylor County Middle School for the 2026-2027 year. Qualifications

• Teaching certificate required.
• Experience working with parents preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Taylor County Middle School faculty and staff is a plus.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and graphics programs.
• Flexible hours are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAT duties at the assigned location as scheduled by the building principal.
• Coordinate with school administrators to ensure SAT is trained in MTSS, alternative education placements, disciplinary procedures and related processes.
• Assist with MTSS problem-solving, intervention design and review of interventions.
• Coordinate SAT paperwork including vision, hearing, speech and language screenings.
• Attend training for referrals to multidisciplinary evaluation procedures (Policy 2419).
• Receive and process referrals to special education and maintain SAT activity data.
• Monitor the Step List and coordinate referrals with 504 Teams and IEP Teams.
• Communicate with parents and review recommendations with families.
